TYF Newbie
08 suburban with 2" Traxis leveling kit. Has had the following done within the last year.
Rotors and brakes 2months ago
New tires 2 months ago
Alignment 2 months ago
Upper and lower ball joints 6 months ago.
Leveling kit and standard strut and shock conversion (auto ride conversion) 2yrs ago.
Last Wed started having an issue with the front end vibrating and the steering wheel jerking to the right. Felt like a hub was going bad. Got it into a garage and pulled wheels calipers, rotors to check the hubs. Both still tight. Pulled the stearing joints and pulled the shaft nuts, to double check. Did find a broke staibilizer link broke and replaced both.
After not finding anything that stuck out and double checked the hubs, reassembled everything and took it for a test drive. Nothing, no vibration no jerking. Drove it for about 300 miles with no issue. This evening, when I got up on the highway and up to 65 the shake started again and the jerking came back.
Got to the next exit and pulled into a gas station to check everything. Nothing out of place. Got it back to the house by staying off the highway and keeping it under 45 the whole way home.
Going to take it up and have the alignment checked again. Anyone have any other suggestions for a possible cause?
