voltage ????

so i took the batt and alt in to get checked, they were good. and the volt gauge reads in the orange, what could be wrong?

with the truck running, what's it read at the battery?

Exactly. Check it while it's idling first with everything turned off, then with everything turned on---high beams, A/C, fan on high, rear defrost, rear air if you have it, etc.

At the battery, mine is putting out 14.2 volts at idle with everything kicked on. Original alternator in my 99.

Probably the guage set...my 95 o/p and volt read low. A new guage set is 500dollars from gm...I just put some aftermarket ones below the dash.
