Wagner premium rotors & pads

Anyone on here ever use Wagner rotors and pads? I'm looking at the premium coated rotors and ceramic pads for my truck, found a pretty decent price and the reviews seem to be good

I've used them on multiple types of vehicles. I like how the rotors have the black coating on the hat and the edges so that it doesn't rust, and the pads are quiet, grabby, and clean.

That's what I like about them too the coated Delco ones are $55ea these are $35ea and look to be pretty good quality in the pics, gets 4 outta 5 stars on Amazon, and the coating holds up good?

To be honest I usually got away with turning my oem rotors and just doing new wagner pads/hardware/boots when I worked somewhere that had a brake lathe. My first experience with the rotors was the gfs fusion and that was like 3 months ago, but so far so good. No warpage and the coating is still there no flaking off yet.

I have heard many times to use powerstop drilled and slotted rotors and wagner thermoquite pads. I used AC Delco both and they squeak all the time.

Great rotors and pads for anyone looking to replace there's had them on for 2wks nice and quiet

I like my power stop drilled/slotted in front and oe replacement in rear they came with ceramic pads from them as well

Power stop are ok, but they come in different grades. You are also putting slotted rotors on something you really don't need to unless you did what I did, Cold Air, Chipped, Magna Flo and so on. And even then Yo don't need them.

I am NOT a fan of Ceramic and let me explain why. They last a long time. They leave no dust. So they must be great? No, here is the catch. They are really hard, which i why they last so long, and the problem is they stop you, but not very fast. If you look at an Audi, BMW, you will see brake dust all over their wheels. Reason? No Ceramic. They use a soft pad, they stop on a dime. So I actually like the Wagner Heavy duty, it's a hybrid, had some ceramic, but their soft as well. I stop a lot faster, not a lot of dust. Wagner rotors are fine if they fit your truck. I cannot get Wagner for mine, I have the bigger rotors on the rear so I am limited. They are fine, but always change your rotors with you pads. There was a time when you did turn your rotors, but rotors are so cheap now, it leads to a lot less frustration and problems.

There are other good companies out there, people like Bosch, I use Akebono in my Benz because they make a hybrid pad because I go through brakes every 20k, but I get about 40 k with the Akebono. Little less stopping power, but it still stops on a nickel. Good luck

Yeah Drilled and slotted are pretty useless on the street. Detrimental actually.

Wagner makes decent stuff, Akebono makes OEM parts for many manufacturers and their premium line is excellent.


Good point on ceramic.
