if you decide on Belltech or djm give me a hollar. I got killer deals on either kit. I really like the DJM 3/5 drop kit though especailly the fact the rear comes with new endlinks and all that.

Ok, Gathering parts for dropping my Tahoe. I really want my ride to sit like MAX has his truck, but on my factory tires (245/75/16) and rims 16x8's.
Any ideas on how to accomplish this? Maybe like 3/4 Drop, with keys/spindles in the front and coils in the rear?
All opinions welcome...
Yea hit up djm..
that way you can do lcas instead of spindles and keep the stock wheels for now..
if you do djm lower control arms AND drop keys..trimmed stops and new shocks and a camber kit the front will be on its dick..
then do a -5'' spring in the back , removed isolaters.. flip the shock mounts..with a free travel mod and drop shocks.. and relocated sway bar
Then do a hair smaller tire and you will be camping out on speed bumps

ps... max is DROPPED.. and you say you wanna sit like max and then say 3/4 drop? shhhhhhhhaaammmmmmeeeeee i thought i liked you blue
lol jk
i did lcas (lower control arms) that way you can go ahead and do it on your stock wheels.. PLUS if you ever decide to bag it.. you will have to buy lower control arms anyway.. so do those now.. its a 3 inch drop.. then you really dont have to get keys or an align kit..
Mine dropped 3 in lca and then turned down stock keys for an inch.. and it aligned fine
so thats 4 in the front.. (up to 6 if you get keys and alignment kit or ucas)
the back you HAVE to do the free travel mod.. i didnt even put bump stops back in at all.. and yea do -5s and remove all the crap....
shocks.. are all on opinon.. belltechs imo are way too soft.. and its what i have... so something stiffer.. lol...
Sway bars.. just use the relocaters that come with the djm kit and disconnect the fronts or get the kit for the front if you drive it hard..

Ok, Yeah I am 4x4 but same thing. Both have CV's...Hopefully Max will chime in soon.
Now, Spindles, keys and shocks for the front. For the rear 5" springs, Remove isolaters, and shocks.
As far as sway bars go should I replace them why I am doing the rest of the truck? What kind/ Model would I need since I would be slamming the truck?
As far as shocks goes, What do you recommend? Part #'s?
BTW, Just glancing through the instructions on how to install the lower control arms and it says for a AWD and 4x4 it may require removing of the front axle not to damage CV axles/Boots. Would this be absolutely necessary? If I take my time and keep everything propped up should I be ok?
Cool Deal, Thanks for chiming in!
Couple more questions for you guys-
1. When using a lowering shock do I still need to flip the rear shock mount or will I be ok? What is required for me to do?
2. My Current tire size 245/75/16 (30.7" tall) will limit me to a 3/5 drop, should I down-grade to a 245/70/16 tire? That should be 29.5" and allow me to do a 4/5 drop...
