Good to hear from you. How did your trip to the Sunshine State go?
It was perfect! Truck ran without any issues! I still have to make some decisions on the transmission to start rebuilding now or wait until it self destructs and put a rebuilt one in.

I go on a 500 mile work trip tomorrow and taking the Yukon.

How have you been, James? Life treating you well?

If your transmission fluid is clean, don't wait for it to detonate.... All that metal stuff will contaminate everything.. lines, cooler , etc. ( not to mention the cost of a tow, if you're stuck on the freeway)

Transmission fluid is clean - replaced filter and refilled fluid about 10K miles ago. I just have this fear in my mind too of finding the right shop to pull apart the transmission and not having any issues. I've got to spend more time on this.

Everyone - I think I may have created an issue.

I have an intermittent service suspension system message on the dash pop up about a week ago. It seems very random. I can go on a 300 mile trip and it won't come on. Sometimes, I can just start my drive and it will pop on. I don't hear the compressor running constantly. I checked the shocks and they still look like new.

Remember, last year, I replaced the compressor and air shocks (all OEM) and everything has been great and it fixed a lot of issues I had.

This all started after I hauled some landscape stone in the back of the truck (this is an XL) - probably 400 lbs. Seemed like a good idea at the time.

I was searching other threads earlier today, and I thought I had found a thread where someone else with a later MY had done something similar and then had to reprogram the suspension system to get the error to go away. For some reason, I can't find the thread anymore (or maybe I dreamt it up).

Any thoughts?

400lbs is not a lot, did you ever pick up a tech2? if so you can go in there and do a alc trimset relearn, my guess is you might have a loose connector on one of the shocks.
but you can visually inspect everything shocks and ride height sensors

Thanks for replying, Wes!

I did pick up a tech2...but it won't connect to the truck. I've been going back and forth for over 6 months with the company I bought it from.

I will check all of the connections and see if I can figure it out.

The Tech2 will also let you isolate the problem component, if there is one.

My money is on 1/ the trim reset, and then 2/ a loose connector.

I’ve needed to use electrical contact cleaner to get the service suspension message to go away after removing the connectors from one of my front shocks.

I connected everything up with and without the candi module and it won't read anything from the vehicle. When I run the test on the module, I can hear it click a few times, but the light on the module never stays solid. I get the message on the attached pic even though I can see it's interfacing with it (clicks, light changes)

It's also possible that I'm doing something wrong. I've been following videos online to get it connected.

I'll give this a shot as well!
