Was it really a downgrade?

As 2020/21 progressed and used car prices went through the roof I decided to sell my 2014 Sierra for a hearty profit, then purchase a 2021 Silverado, hate it, and do the same thing.
I was looking for an NBS truck or SUV, as that's what I've driven in the past and I think they're plain great. Add a carplay head unit, new seat foam, and what does a new truck bring that an 99-07 truck doesn't?

So I found this Tahoe really local to me at a Toyota Dealer in Cleveland, Ohio. Looked clean I thought, weirdly optioned. PERFECT.

Went and looked at it, beat the shit out of it and said yep, this is it. Put a deposit down to hold it, transferred some cash around and bought it that weekend.

It's a 2001 Tahoe WT 2WD 4.8 w/ 3"42 Gears, Cruise, AC, Traction Assist and a G80. What else do you need. Oh, and barn doors.

Added a Alpine head unit, half console, diamond edition jimmy perforated steering wheel, ACC carpet and changed the bottom dash trim to graphite. Left the back area rubber.

Lowered it 3/4

It's been a fantastic vehicle, I love it.

Future plans include 2019+ front brakes, maybe more low, and some refinements to help with handling.

They are simple and have LS based drivetrains. Best of both worlds.

I sometimes miss my 6L80e in the Sierra, but otherwise I have no complaints.

Also no truck has better seats than an NBS lol
Great choice! Yeah the 6 speed is nice for sure. Maybe a trans / converter upgrade should be in your future.. the lockup is kinda like having a 5th gear..

I’m still dying to know what wheels they are!! But they look great

Also some days I really consider selling my 2015 Denali to do the same thing you did. Car payments suck, I miss my NBS

Oh, I thought I replied to you.

They come on 2022 and 23 Sierra SLTs! They're only 20s, so they look terrible on the new trucks but I saw them and said 'Those are badass by themselves!' and decided to put them on a NBS. Glad I did, I love them. What I really like about them is that they are not machined, but 'polished' with argent inserts instead of black.

A machined and black version would have been awful. These remind me a little of Beretta Z26 wheels.
