Was the condensor fan an option?

So, my in-laws have a pop up camper that they've offered to let me and the fam borrow whenever we want this summer. My truck never came with a tow package, so I'll need a hitch and rear wiring, of course. I noticed that
there's no electic fan for the condensor. Was this just for the towing package? Does anyone know if the wiring is in there, but just no fan? Or will I need to run wiring for the fan?

Thanks!

Most of the cars/trucks I've dealt with have a fan for the condensor for the AC. Electric fan kicks on when the AC is switched on. My '96 Tahoe LT doesn't have one. From what I can gather many didn't that even had AC. However, in the wiring diagram it shows that some did come with an electric fan in addition to the mechanical one. Was this normal with trucks that came with a tow package?

I have never seen a GMT400 with an electric fan from the factory. Maybe they're on diesels, but even then never seen one. I have a 4dr 4wd tahoe with tow package and no fan.

Ahh, so maybe 2500's+ and/or diesels like 2000tahoe was saying.

my 1990 454SS Silverado had a viscous fan and an electric fan for a/c. I upgraded it to a Freon clutch fan and electric fan for reduced noise.
