I don't see that. Fit, finish, and durability are all ingredients of quality.

JD Power distinguishes between 'initial quality' and 'overall quality', or something like that.
Lots of people buy things on initial appeal, that they'd never buy again,
because they have owned it long enough to watch the initial quality warp and fade.

I owned WeatherTech mats in my 95 Caprice.
Based on how they aged, I'll switch to Husky, once I decide which ones.
