If I did a DOD delete, kept the VVT, put in new cam, springs, and push rods, it'd be because I just took on a new car payment.

So what would you do? Trade it in with a hammering pushrod and get pennys on the dollor?
Take a 3 year old vehicle to the junkyard?
Im really curious what you would do?

First step, calm down. It was an attempt at humourous self-deprication . In no way can I accomplish those tasks, so the only way they'd happen would be if I replaced the vehicle in need with a new one .
