Hey everyone just had my 03 Tahoe broken into. :( they only took the radio but punched the driver door lock in, broke the dash and the center counsel and broke my ignition so now when I start it my abs and break light come on :/ scratched a portion of my paint. Total repaid cost is $1,800 :( insurance may cover it won't know tell Monday. But I think they may have succeeded in stealing my radio but the touch screen didn't work and needed the remote to opperate it lol. I'm looking for a good alaram after I get it back from the shop. Anyone throw me a good alarm system that has all the bells and whistles? I don't really need a remote start but if it has it then that's fine.

Code Alarm, never had any trouble with them and they actually do what an alarm is supposed to do and get people's attention. I personally never look around when I hear the typical siren or steady horn honk, too many people set them off by accident. When I hear random honks, I usually look. That's how Code Alarm works and they are the only ones that do it. The system will honk the horn at random and people actually look. For example, when I lived in an apartment I bought a truck that already had a viper system installed. It got broken into, while it was armed; I lost my radio, subs, a ****** pistol and my favorite pipe. I replaced it with a Code the next monday. The truck got broken into again a few months later, this time everyone in my complex was outside trying to see what the commotion was as we saw the theif running away empty handed.

So make your choice what alarm you want. If you are in north central texas I can hook you up with install.

You will also need the appropriate flash logic module. They are usually around $50-75 on ebay or amazon and around $100 at stereo shops.

I am not in any way affiliated with Code Alarm or Audiovox but I have installed their products for years along with all of the other brands and Code is the only system I will buy.

I almost bought a viper this morning but I'm waiting tell I get my car back
The most crappy part about this is that the effin thief went up to my house tapped on my window but I brushed it off thinking it was the cats outside and did it at 11 on a busy street but no one saw it in the middle of the day. I had a race car in the drive way supprised they didn't try to steal it or the tools and stuff inside it. I'm going to look into code alarm sounds useful. And I live in central Cali so I think Texas is a little bit too far lol

Too bad I'm not in CA for more reasons than just one. I love California but I'm unable to break away from Texas for a little while. I have too much family here and they help out way too much with the kiddo so I would hate to leave that as much as I would love to live in Cali.
They probably got the radio out in a matter of seconds so there might not have been time to be noticed.
I can vouch for Code Alarm, I have always hated Audiovox and was reluctant when I heard Audiovox bought the name, but even the newer products work amazingly well. I have a system that is more than 7 years old in my wife's Yukon. The system in mine is about 5 years old and the original 2-way remote finally bit the dust after going swimming a few years back and being disassembled and re-painted a few times. I have also installed several in the past few years and have yet to hear anything bad from the people I installed them for.
I've heard their carlink or whatever its called that allows control with a smartphone also works flawlessly and almost instantly.

I would love to find one that would make my skyrocket s2 work as a 2 way or 3 way remote where it sends a notification and turns the phone to where it will pop up the car indicator where its being broken into. I tried looking for them on ebay but dont know what one to get? Also insurance went by and said to start working on the car they are hoping to have it back to me by friday :) and as soon as i get it alarm woll be installed and im thinking about ordering some jimmi' jammers. I just discovered those and they look helpful. And honistly Cali sucks sooooooo much! My lt. Got a tickets for having stacks on his diesel pickup. And a warning for no mud flaps. I got a ticket for a security film on my front windows on my old car. The police around here and CHP just are a bunch of assholes.

I'm not sure one is going to work that way because sometimes push notifications to phones are slow. Code alarm does make a 1-mile range two way system that works amazing. I had a friend who had one and it started his truck in the outside edge of the parking lot from inside lowes close to the back of the store. I think the last one I installed I bought off ebay for about $150.

I really am happy with my Viper Responder alram but even back in the day had a inexpensive Excalibur alarm and it worked great also. If you want noise you can change the sirens add sirens or even buy a house alarm siren at Radio Shack and add to a alarm system. That will help with attention.
