its not a pull your own part yard, its not open to the public. they go find it and remove the parts and bring them to me in the air conditioning, while i wait (this took nearly 10 minutes). well worth a $1, i've now spent a whole $26 there for : antenna mast, roof racks, the rubber bumpers inside the fuel door, and the lid for the cubby in the hatch. i'd say its worth my dollar to keep this guy happy and supplying me with little odds and ends i can't find anywhere else near that cheap. yes, the guy took the dollar and put it in his pocket though lol

That's not bad. I like those places, but in my area they want almost dealership prices for the used parts they pull off...

New "Fogs"

So I've been rolling with the no valence look for a while, mostly due to fitting my tow shackles and less rub with my tires. The only gripe I've had is it leaves the factory fogs dangling below the bumper like awkward wrinkly ball-sacks. They look like crap, are totally useless, and I finally did something about it. Now, Its not the prettiest solution, but goddamn if it isnt more useful and cleaner.

I replaced the fogs with a pair of 6 LED pods. They're have 5W Osram diodes with a 4d lens so they're basically mini spotlights. I spent like 3 hours getting them perfectly adjusted so they wouldn't be a hazard to other drivers and still be useful. I gotta say, I love the result. Ill post some pics from inside the the car tonight when I can take some, but for now Ill just post some before and after shots of the install.

Yeah, no valance makes it look like your bumper is just effed up especially on these GMT800 bumpers where the chrome is shaped in such a way that it kinda forms to that valance. It's not like the GMT400 chin spoiler where you could take it or leave because the bumper was straight across on the bottom.

I parked mine today since my Escape just came back from the body shop. I normally drive my Escape to work due to gas mileage.
