What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Finally unwrapped the new grill tonight to prep it for color matching, ended up being all chrome except the outline. The only chrome was going to be the center bar, now the mesh is chrome, do you just scuff it up also and spray it? I have a can of adhesive promoter would that help the paint stick once I scuff the chrome?

Scuff it up with with scotch brite pad or 80 grit sand paper. Clean it with prep spray or mineral spirits. You dont have to worry about adhesion promoter if you use a good primer. And if color match is plastidip paint, i wouldn't worry about adhesion promoter either.

Not using Plastidip, using a can of custom mixed color matched spray paint an then clearcoat.

Then after you sand it, blow it iff with air hose. Use a good prep spray,primer and give er hell!
10 minutes between each coat
