For the dash, I washed it with Dawn, then a degreaser with scotch bright pad, wipe with a precleaner, and let dry in the sun. I used the scotch pad to try to smooth out the flaking edges as best I could and used the precleaner again (specific cleaner before dye is applied). I coated the bad spots first so it'd build up. You can still see a couple of spots on the dash, but they aren't really obvious any more.
What dye did you use?

I'll have to grab the can at home tonight. I don't remember the brand. Got it from Keyston Bros. They happen to have a warehouse just down the road from me.

The dash dye was SEM classic coat. Closest color they had in stock was 17263 Honda Classy Grey. It's damn close to the GM dark grey. I also used the SEM 38353 Plastic & Leather Prep spray. it's basically just a cleaner like mineral spirits, but it doesn't overly soften or distort the plastic.

Didn't notice any cut off. And nobody flashed their lights at me so I guess it was okay. Heading out of town this weekend so I guess we will see then.

I scored a pair of 2004 Denali 6.0 cats & y-pipes today from a rollover. Denali had 68K on the clock. This is the set-up with two separate pipes going into the muffler. Also picked up a nicer engine cover and airbox lid with a GM 6.0 sticker. Got it all for under $200.

I've already talked to one of the better exhaust shops in town to get the 6.0 cats installed and plumbed to the muffler. They can re-use my Jones 2590 muffler and turn it around (2 in and 1 out). I'll use the factory pipe after the muffler.

When my 6.0 ** was put in, the shop re-used the original 5.3 one piece y-pipe, which is my current bottleneck.
