^^ Nice "hidden" fab work.

That's my main problem with the stockers. You shouldn't have to put a cheesy ass sleeve on them so they CAN'T bend and brake. That point of failure shouldn't have even been an issue in the first place, requiring an aftermarket Band-aid for strength.

Exactly. Unless you're lifted and doing some serious four-wheeling, you'll never bend or break one. Now if you're climbing logs and rocks, maybe.I agree with what your saying... but its not an issue on a stock truck under normal operating conditions.
Nice build! I just commented in your thread. Where exactly are you located? I live in south Shreveport not far off I-49.
Good to see someone knows their shit on these trucks around here. Next time I do some work on my truck, maybe you can help me out. Projects like replacing the knock sensors ended up taking me 3 days, because I had to keep stopping. I just can't move around like I used to because I had a very major back surgery last summer. I'm very limited on what I can do, and I still do shit I'm not supposed to be doing, because my wife can't exactly do it. But then I really regret it the next day when my back is hurting like all hell.
Actually, I have a 5.3, not a 6.0 and I already have a Blackbear Performance tune, Vette servo and converted to E-fans. And i have an Airraid intake tube. Otherwise its basically stock. I wish I had a 6.0!!

They are not in great shape but good enought. Not my style either but because ther were FREE they are my style now.
I will be sending them out to be sandblasted and painted black to match the truck. I may like them more painted. Not sure
