That sucks to hear. Sounds like everyone this summer is already having big problems with their NBS Chevy's or GMC. Were there any indicators that your water pump is going out?

Yeah, I've never had so damn many problems with my truck EVER until this summer. I've had to do a few repairs here and there over the years since I bought it back in 2006. But I've never had so much stuff seem to fail all at once. Since I bought my Suburban in 2006, I have had to have the rear end rebuilt (twice now, once in 2008 and again in 2013), the transmission rebuilt 2013, replaced the AC compressor in 2010, replaced all four brake pads and rotors back in 2010, been through three batteries now since 06, 3 sets of belts, just bought my 3rd set of tires, new shocks, I replaced my water pump in 2012 (and it is as easy as everyone says), replaced 3 window motors over the years...
But just in the last 2 months, I've had to replace two window motors (that were previously replaced with used regulator/motor assemblies), replaced rear shocks, brake pads, caliper bolts, brake hoses, knock sensors and harness, new headlights, and now my damn fuel pump just failed two days ago. I don't even have the money for a fuel pump right now because I just bought so many other parts recently, so I'm trying to sell some extra truck parts to scrape up the money.

Well here's what I got to deal with yesterday, pothole patch decided it liked my tire better than the the hole they filled. So ended up having to get a new tire. Glad I got the road hazard, paid for itself in one claim. 403fb0466200cfc13c237a35c7218897.jpg

Had this happen a couple of weeks ago to my son's 275-45-20. I used brake cleaner and prep sol to clean his up. Spray the tire down first with brake cleaner and watch the tar run off. I then let prep sol soak on there and picked it out with a screwdriver. His was on the front and shook so bad when he drove it, I had to do something. Got it all out and now rides smooth as silk. Took about an hour but better than buying a $150 tire.

1467481133728-1054390578.jpg 1467481176299-934618354.jpg Well, yesterday, I bedlined my AR Bajas, they look good, I rednecked them, Today, I put in phillips crystal vision heads, highs, and fogs, today I'm redneckin some painted door covers(sanding them down, PTM) leaving the handle factory black plastic. PTM the chrome grille, leaving the plastic black, bedline Bowtie.

I've got plans to remove door ding guards, bedline the whole area under the split in the doors, fender flares, front and rear dechrome with bedliner, so more or less, two-tone white on bedliner, storm trooper status.
Id love to knock it out this weekend, but I'll save that for next weekend.

Oh, and I'm ordering the chrome center caps for them too

Paint the handle buckets but leave the handle black?
Hmm, at first I thought "WTF?" But then I thought for a second while looking at the picture of your truck. That actually would look pretty good on there since you are going with a black on white theme. Post some pics up when you get em painted.

Will do, I'll post it tomorrow or monday, I haven't started painting, they're prepped for paint, but I've been busy smoking some ribs, and some cigars. I think it'll look pretty good, I'll try to knock it out early AM tomorrow

Does anyone know if the textured black mirror caps on an LS can be removed, I'd think they come off a little easier. I don't want to cracking mine, is there a trick to it? Certain area to pry with a flat head screwdriver?
