Bed liner is much more durable and not meant to Peel off .Plastidip is supposedly easily peeled off if you don't want it anymore, although I've never peeled mine off yet.

I don't think that's a g

Nothing came up.

Is the bedliner spray black or gray? Is it smooth once it dries? Much better than plastidip ? I'm going to do my front bumper and lower valance, now I'd like to see how yours comes out:popcorn:

It's black, but more of a flat black/our plastic running board black, no where near pitch, but that's kinda the idea for me.

It's not super rough, it's like really really "tar like" thick paint with sand in it. It doesn't have rubber nubs in it like some bedliners.

I use the Rustoleum Bedliner that includes a primer, but for prep I use a self etching primer as well as duplicolor adhesive promoter other than the usual roughing up the surface prior to paint

Why do you not have a build thread with so many great mods on the Denali beast?

When do we get to see that cowl hood?

@Fosscore Well...I've thought about a build thread, but I did 2 of those on Harley-Davidsons and with both, I started out with the INTENTION of doing a build so it was natural to do a thread, and people could follow along in real time. With my Denali, I never had a clear intent to do what I've done. It just kind of happened. And keeps happening. I guess I could go back and do a retroactive thread, since I have pictures of everything. What do you think? Should I do that? And as far as the hood...I haven't heard from my body shop since they ordered it but as soon as I do, I'll be sure to post it here.

I say yes. It is a really cool legacy of what you have done, how much you have modded, maintained, etc....gives other guys a great guideline for similar ideas and sometimes the input received helps spawn other ideas and improvements. The how-to write ups alone are worth it. With our NBS model trucks, you can see the same mods and maintenance issues arise often and this is perfect to draw on and share that info.

I started mine after the fact, then decided to sit down, bring it up to speed and keep it current as I did things. I cannot believe how much I have done and most would not have happened or even been considered had I not become more active on the forum. It easily becomes consuming, exciting and $$. And I believe you have far exceeded me, which again is a great reference for new and existing members.

Not having a clear idea of which direction to go is how most of us started out and that is exactly why your build thread is needed to keep your own record and give other guys that history and info to guide them along that never ending mod path.

One last bit. It's one place where we can brag about our trucks and all the cool things we have done to them and like minded guys will high five you, understand what you are talking about and not roll their eyes because you are talking about wrenching and color matching again.

Very well said.

I am in the same boat at redrocket, and you as well Fosscore. I didn't expect to do what I have done to this truck.
thanks to you guys and the forum I found a ton of great mods and updates to make the truck better. I had zero intentions when I bought this to do anything more than clean it up, maintain it and haul the family around. Then I joined this forum and didn't think I would do any of the mods that most of you have done. I Didn't think I was build thread quality. Now that you have mentioned it is a great way to share and keep track of what was done.
