Did my rear resistors today. View attachment 71167 View attachment 71168
I was going to screw them into the sheet metal using self taping screws, but honestly I hate making any kind of holes in clean metal. To me, it just invites rust. So I used some trusty zip ties to hold them to that steel brace. I made sure they we're nice and tight, and away from the metal body of the resistor, since they get so hot. View attachment 71174
I also put in white led's for my backup lights. There was some slight fogging inside the reverse lenses, so I dried them out with a hair dryer and dabbed some silicone(rtv)between the bulb housing and lens--i hope I'm making sense ----That should keep the moisture out. I highly recommend guys doing the rtv who are running aftermarket lenses. Some of those rubber gaskets are crappy, allowing moisture to get inside. I replaced the brake light bulbs with led's, but Imo they weren't bright at all, and I don't need to be rear ended by some moron who isn't paying attention. View attachment 71173
Awesome, I assume you added this to your build thread ? :joke:

Did you do the top and bottom of these seats?
I tried looking on that website and couldn't figure out if you could just order the bottom part or not. The only thing I could find was a kit. I'm only going to replace the bottom section on mine.

For exact factory matches you can go to Richmond Auto Upholstery at https://leather-auto-seats.com or www.theseatshop.com and they will use your RPO codes to match the color. Mine came out perfect after scrubbing the upper part. I only replaced the bottoms.

While waiting for Tonyrodz's build thread, I shortened the lower ball joint studs on the 2" drop spindles so I can fit my original 17" wheels. Not hard, I just should have done it when I first installed them. Tomorrow off to Costco for new dedicated winter tires....
