Damn what a day tony. I feel your pain , when it rains it dumps on me too. Story of my life. After awhile you learn to deal with it and get over it just as quick as you got mad about it lol.
Take care of that burn, take care of the van and you'll be back in business.

Quick question, because I've been doing some digging in my free time at work (which hasn't been much) but I know that someone here will know. Can you install an intake tube like what comes with the CAI cheapy on ebay with the stock air box?

I want to keep the OEM airfilter box, because its a true CAI (and I cant afford a volant right now) and with new things coming down the pipe, I can't explain an AirRaid MIT (gotta buy a ring, and pay for a wedding soon)

any advice?

I must say @Tonyrodz your misfortune is very reminiscent of my father and I any time we work on anything. Seems like we break two things to fix the first.

On the bright side, I now know exactly what to avoid in all my modding, because you've got the "rubs" and "burns" to prove it :laughing1:

I believe the AirRaid Jr does what you want.

it does, and I would LOVE to have one, but I can't as easily explain a $160 as I can a $~10 with a "gift card"

Your other cheap option is to do a home depot pvc or heavy duty dryer vent build. Don't have time to dig them up right this minute, but there's a thread or two on here and on GMFS.

I've seen some of those, and am considering it, but I want to make something look good. The PVC might, with some paint, but the dryer vent option just doesn't.

I just purchased an Airaid MIT 200-919 from Advance Auto Parts which they list for $145. I stacked a 30% off coupon code and some of their SpeedPerks rewards ($20 & $5) that I had earned from previous purchases, and walked out the door with it for $81 in the end. Shop around, you might be able to work out a similar deal.
