Drain & fill on front diff. Take a break to start laundry, crawl back under & drain trans case oil then it starts raining. Started to pick up but already had 1st Ltr AutoTrak in it so I just lay in the flash flood pumping 2nd Ltr & fit fill plug just to be done with it. FML

Transmission shop called. They drove it 40 miles and still couldn't replicate the problems. No codes, no nothing. I'm gonna have them do a service on it (fluid, filter, etc) anyway. I'm sure its overdue...

Use the trans cooler line method, get a new filter in there and see what happens. All you can do at this point, I would say.

Yea...I guess its good news that I don't have to rebuild it. I'll take that as a win.

Got the rear diff drain'N'fill knocked out. That G80 is happy to be bathing in fresh 75w140 syn. Lubed some grease points on the front end while I was under there. I told myself I wasn't going to be crawling around underneath trucks anymore but i realized I want to keep more of my hard earned money. F-you shop techs. Mechanics. With your 4-post lift & SnapOn tools. Trying to charge obscene rates only to do what I can laying on the ground getting dirt in my eyes, sweating my ass off. I will live to do it again.

Picked up the truck from the transmission shop.

The owner took it home last night and couldn't find any problems. He did say however, that it was one of the nicest running and driving 2000's he'd ever seen.

He dropped the pan and said it was as clean as can be, so no issues there.

New fluid, new filter, and peace of mind set me back $220.
