Hopefully since it's there's it'll work with their base coat.. I may have screwed up and mixed a paint that didn't work with the SprayMaxx
prep has a lot to do with paint staying on, i plan to wash them with dish soap, then scuff em with a scotch bright pad then the prep spray, and then hands off. oil form your fingers can mess up the whole job. latex gloves will be used as well.
key part is light coats, no need to do the job in one coat. you wont find a run on any of my paint work. first coat you should be able to see through it still. very light coat, then by the second coat, dont try to make it fully coated. dont go back and touch it up between coats either, let it ride, next coat will cover any light spots.
this was all high heat paint. wire wheeled all the rust off, then prep sprayed, then high heat primer, then many coats installed after that. theres got to be 8 coats of yellow and primer easy, all black parts got 3 coats.
only part where the paint has come off is the top of the blower, it rubs the hood liner in a few spots.
funny how that little v6 has as much HP as the 5.3 in my hoe lol
