Ok, thought this was an exhaust leak because header bolts were loose. Tightened them but noise is still there. I can't tell if it's exhaust or under the valve cover. Def noise from the top end somewhere. Opinions or suggestions?
Hood closed.
I'm not a huge advocate of SeaFoam... but there's 2 things I've found it works really well for. Small engines and identifying exhaust leaks. Pull the vacuum line off the brake booster, let it suck up about 3 oz of it, then put the vacuum line back on.
That nice white smoke will billow out of whatever exhaust leak you have... if it's a small leak, the liquid will run out of the crack.
Like I said, not a fan of SeaFoam, but that's one thing it does quite well.
i would really recommend you use studs. they clamp tight and hold and dont break off.
Ye---wellll....... everything but the "don't break off" part.
