There is another thread discussing this right now as well. It is common on these trucks for the rear to wear faster. Not really sure why, but multiple accounts of this finding. Mine too.

My 00 burb is the same way. Did rotors and pads on the rear last summer and have to do the rears again. Probably doesn't help that I drive it like a corvette 90% of the time

rears on a 05 silverado 3500. they started to lightly squeal one day, next day full blown squealing. had to do emergency road side brake job while at lot of customers house.

all 4 rear pads, both sides the same little bit of meat left, didnt have a day left in them.

fronts had a full 1/4 inch left. this truck gets loaded up to 12,500 GW weekly and tows a 4,000 lb loaded trailer while loaded. you'd think the fronts would go first, but they dont.

One reason I put SS lines on the rear also. My truck never wore out the front pads and it is a 2000! They still had plenty of meat on them although not worn even.. The rotors were worn more than anything..I've only owned the truck for like 15years lol and it had about 250k miles on the fronts. They were just super hard I guess. I get about 100k miles out the rears.

After putting new R1 Carbon geomets on I could tell the rear was still grabbing harder as the material was more worn in the rear after bedding the brakes. It's weird but maybe it makes the truck more stable under braking. It feels that way.

That’s almost how it went for me. One day a light drone and the next day, BOOM, full on grinding...

My fuse cover showed up. Should be a lot easier to get to cooling fan relays if needed. Of course the diagram doesn't match but the lids are interchangeable.. e08509f6297a9af35f8da3d100ff2450.jpg86d8e2bc774d639f121a388015275e63.jpg05a82bf89b1827c3dd7ade1de28d4fea.jpg

I installed mine the other day. It’s easier to get to the fuses and relays but not THAT easy. The fender brace is still in the way a bit. At least I can open it up and LOOK at them lol. Better than not even being able to see them at all. I can prolly get to most of them in a pinch now.
