Well we've been driving the old 'Hoe all summer with no issues. Cooler weather was coming our way, so I knew that meant it would drop to below 70* in the mornings and I was just waiting for the stupid REP to happen at startup... sure enough, Tuesday morning, it happened.

I had already ordered a new AC Delco replacement TPS but didn't have the time yet to install it. Finally after 3 mornings straight of it happening, my wife was fed up...

Installed the new TPS on Thursday afternoon before work.... the next morning, BOOM! Started right up with no issues. THANK GOD!

So now the only thing I need to worry about with that truck is cosmetic stuff.... well... that and the infamous ABS issue.

Been a busy month for the Tahoe I guess...

This morning just outside of Nashville at about 04:30 a deer ran out in front of the truck in a dead sprint, and I caught his head with the drivers side light assemblies.

I’m just gonna hope the insurance doesn’t seem this “totaled”View attachment 210075View attachment 210076View attachment 210077View attachment 210078I drove for 4 hours after that home. No damage to internals, but I’m afraid it bent the driver’s door too. Damn deer hit the side of the car so hard in a wraparound that it opened the door.

Update:

Radiator is definitely cracked, somewhere. Didn’t lose enough fluid for the temps to change in the 3+ hours of driving after the hit, but that significantly reduces the probability of getting to keep her.
:bawl:

So if anyone’s got a line on an 09-10 with a 6.2 in it, let me know.

That's a cheap fix, $100-$125.

the can was 7 or 12 bucks iirc. or call it 10 ish lol money well spent. im sure ill find other uses for it down the road.

its just like rubber cement, spray it on let it dry then pull it up to the edge and press it down. i did hold some paper up to shield the rubber molding when spraying it.
