I have the fleece 6HI chip. Spendy at $25 but its worth it to me and it makes for a clean install.

I dont have that problem here in AK:bleh:. And our winters here are twice as long as anyone else:shrug:View attachment 215318

why the high beam splitter? The projectors are bi-xenon right? Factory high beam spot is black now. And why halogens and not hids ?!!:fca5278d:
Also excellent work, cant wait to see the finished product lol :waytogo:

What type of pen did you use again for your engine cover?

Also as far as the splitter I made one as well the MH1 isn't the best projector ( better than any halogen) so with the added halogen high beam it makes the world of the difference

Baked some sierra lights for dinner. Friends lights, he was scared to do it himself. I understand it's not for the faint of heart. But he wants white reflectors swapped from the clear housing to the stock housing. Apparently aftermarket housings are junk for Sierras/Yukons. They keep cracking with mounting brackets breaking and falling apart anybody on here have that problem?:shrug:20190126_224519.jpg PH_190130_210805.jpg 20190130_213020.jpg
I told him if we swapped lenses he would have garbage output unless he did a retrofit, ,so hes keeping the factory style diffuser lens:waytogo:

they were generic butyl. Permaseal is on newer cars from the factory. Theres very few aftermarket lights that come permasealed that I know of.

Is there any way you could get some pictures of this? I'm having a difficult time picturing what you mean.

I'll have mine apart again this weekend to fix them, and can take pics, but I didn't have any issues with arches.

my only issue was the CB&D brackets are built for 7.0s and I went with a 7.1 kit, so I had to drill press the bracket to make it fit

I'll try my best to explain so the first picture is of the projector housing once you remove the factory projector there is window if you will. Where I drew the blue line is where the little arches on the projector (see second pitch)was hitting. I couldn't install the projector onto the cb&d bracket and simply install the two into the projector housing from the back because the arches would hit. If I tried to insert the projector and cb&d bracket in through the front the arch on the projector would hit the top making the projector aim downwards if I installed them that way. I figured I had 3 options either 1 install washers on top and bottom projector mounting bolts to the bracket so it spaced the projector away from the lip on the housing. 2 I could shave down the projector arches. 3 trim out two little arches in the projector housing to clear the projector.

If I would've installed it without any of those 3 options the projector would've been slightly pushed out further on the top than the bottom. I just put a little more silicone where I notched the housing. Fingers crossed I dont have a lot of adjustments to make I'm installing them tomorrow!
