I was told that's what mine was. Common issue?Could also be the heat shields on the cats.
Just a thought, maybe its the flexplate, starter area making you think/feel like its exhaust?Maybe you guys can help me out here. I'm getting a strange metallic twangy sound coming from my exhaust on start up and initial movement. It happens a free times then goes away. It's super annoying almost sounds like the exhaust is hitting something but I never touched my exhaust.
I'll try to get a video tomorrow but it's hard to capture

That's one issue I don't haveI was told that's what mine was. Common issue?
I guess that's why mufflers are usually marked inlet/outlet. Reading is fundamental! So I had a straight through thrush muffler it was rediculously loud. So I bought this flowmaster 50 and had it welded on in is place. Funny story as the guy is taking off the old muffler he says I see why it might have been so loud in the cabin. The person who issued it put it on backwards. The V's were having towards the cabin. Is nice and quiet in the cabin now though so I am happy. And my twins can hear me without shouting. Lol
2004 Z71 Suburban Green I have a few upgrades done.
