Where'd you get that? I need to do my diffs. How much fluid did you use?
Just ordered it off their site. Local napas are SUPPOSED to carry it but no one ever orders it.

I just did my front on account of it being new, had to get the break in crap out!

Front takes a little under 2 quarts. Rear takes a little over 2 quarts. Order 5 to be safe but you realistically won't touch the 5th one. It just allows for some fudge factor if ya tip one over or something.

FWIW I use 75w140 in mine, overfilled by 1/2 to 3/4" to account for slower fluid drainback. That puts my rear fill to exactly at the fill port level, and front fill I do through the breather/inspection cover, which unscrews. I use the fill plug as a guide for level though (In B4 screeching). If you do it my way, front takes a cunthair over 2 quarts, rear takes a bit under 2.5.

When I had my rear cover off for second diff service after ~40k miles of driving, fluid drained out clear. Interior surfaces wiped clean with no residue on the paper towel, and total accumulation of metal on the magnet was appropriately half the size of a grain of rice. Not enough that I could really wipe off, only wipe around.

Can't speak for the front diff as it was bad when I got the car and I only recently got around to re-doing it. Will find out in a couple years

Got quite a bit done (for me) done today. Very eventful week for my truck as well. Got my Mechman 240 amp alternator in. For as many alternators as I've done on that truck (5) you'd think I'd have the process done but no, still took me like an hour and a half, with a half hour spent looking for a lost nut for the negative post on the alternator. I about had a heart attack when I got the battery not charging message on first start up but it since went away and I am quite satisfied with the alternator after putting it through it's paces today. Amp hits much cleaner on good power. I also found out that oversized 1/0 wire fits 1/0 terminals when you use the correct tool to cut wire. I picked up a Klein cable cutter and it works great, not sure its really worth the $30 I spent on it.

Also got some of the loose ends cleaned up on the headliner project. New bulbs on the dome lights and glued the clear plastics back together (I snapped both). Also cut a hole in the jack kick panel and reinstalled it, looks much cleaner now. Got some of the plastic pins that I didn't have back in (because I did a terrible job of keeping track of them when I pulled the headliner) put back in. However the light motor fell off where I mounted it so I have to figure out how to do it better. I also need to figure out a way to fill the visor holes. For as much work as I did putting those stars there I'm not going to cover them up lolol.

I also got all the needed tools to do my lift this week. $250 at Harbor Freight goes a loooonnnnggg way. However, after I got my tools I went to my local Fred Meyers to pick up some lunch and when I came back out to my truck there was a 6" diameter puddle under it. I at first shrugged it off to be from the AC but I realized I haven't used the AC in over a week. Upon further inspection it was a steadily dripping oil leak coming from my oil cooler block off plate, which I had sealed less than 2 months ago. Got it towed to the shop, and they covered labor because they had worked on it before. Ended up being a cracked plate and not a bad seal. A $17 part saved my engine lol. Had it back in a days time, but still wasn't ideal.

Going forward I'm gearing up for doing the lift and wheels in the next month at the very latest. I also need to clean up and upgrade the system once again, my wires are not ran clean enough to my liking at all. Definitely took advantage of my time off to get a lot done to the truck.

In the past couple days, I've changed out the tail lights and front corner lights. Went with LED tails and clear corners with LED bulbs. I need to do something about the headlights.

Today, I replaced the water pump.

Seen a puddle inside my led taillight
As I mentioned before its a good idea to put a bead all around the edge of aftermarket lights. But also look at connecting points (sockets, screws, brackets) because those I've noticed are the most common issues for leaks and foggy lenses. You can see the back side where the reflector is glued in, the glue is old and dried up. Stuuuuupid design and they're almost all like that. Brought the tail inside to dry it out for a day or two. Rockin the red halogen tails as a back up set.received_310633329625180.jpeg received_638574226565188.jpeg received_808307706199240.jpeg

Gained right at an inch height after replacement. Will see if they settle after driving some. Only drove a few miles, but feels so much better.

While I had it up on stands, checked exhaust as i thought it sounded different. Sure enough, had about a 1 inch hole where hanger was welded on pipe in front of muffler. My neighbor was able to weld a “patch” over hole. Sounds normal now!
