Those bumper bars..... (or brush bars)...... Some designs , when hit, move back, bashing everything / lights, grill, front edge fenders. Some are just for looks, in reality.

Similar with a rear-mounted spare tire... They stick out past the bumper. So if hit, ... it takes out the rear door & glass.... a 5 mph.

I think my subwoofer is going bad in my 06 SD. The passenger door speaker was blown so I replaced both front doors with new, factory Bose speakers. Now that they are new, the sub doesn't seem to be putting out like it did when I bought the truck a month ago. It has RPO UQ7 with Y91, and I want to keep the audio factory. I don't drive it much and I am very happy with how it sounds in comparison to the non lux Bose system I used to have in the 05 Tahoe that got traded in. The amp they used is night and day difference with Y91 amp.

My question is...
Can I use a subwoofer from an 07 and up and install it in my 06? I don't mean the entire enclosure, just the speaker? I can't find any factory replacement for an 06, but the 07-18 are easier to find.

Ditched the old exhaust tip and threw a new one on, it sits perfect compared to the old one, replaced the intermediate parking brake cable, had the AC serviced blows ice cold now and did an oil change
