Timed how long it takes my oil to get up to operating temp. Kind of? Was eyeing pressure, knowing what it should be at a given RPM when hot. Got 18 mins. That was at about 80f ambient, with 0.7mi neighborhood speeds for 4 mins followed by a gentle freeway merge and going 60mph at about 1530rpm, freeway mostly flat. Coolant temp at time of freeway merge was 165f.

Long ass time for heat to make its way into the oil. Honestly I wish these rigs had something like my old Subaru did. Thing had a pancake housing that was an oil/coolant heat exchanger, where one side came off a tapped freeze plug, and the other went to the water pump (I think, don't quote me it's been 6 years).

Anyways it worked really friggin well for getting the oil up to temp quickly. Oil would track pretty closely to coolant temp. Wish these rigs had something similar
