If you have pellets clear up to the purge valve, your canister is shot and has been distributing charcoal throughout the vent system. You’ll need to disconnect everything and blow out the lines, and replace the canister at the least. I’d go ahead and replace the vent valve since it’s probably shot anyway.

What I was afraid you were going to say given the videos I watched.
Well at least all 3 parts of that system will be new.

The best way to blow out the lines once I remove the canister and vent valve underneath?

I would think just a compressor and blower nozzle, I haven’t had to do that but the lines aren’t big so anything you can get to help kind of seal up the end where you put the nozzle into. I would blow from the engine compartment back to the disconnected end at the fuel tank, and then blow the other lines by the tank out after removing everything.

Sounds like a plan. Thx man. Plan to remove the canister and solenoid tomorrow (bit tight under there, blow out the lines and install once the parts arrive. Of course the purge valve is the easiest on the manifold.

Checked all local stores on availability, pricing and confirmed with RockAuto on parts numbers. No local shops can compare to Amazon pricing on this order, plus 1 day Prime shipping, plus a gift card balance as well. Winning! Parts should arrive tomorrow.

you might want to drop the spare for a little more room, shouldn't take you more than 45-1hr to do even if you haven't done it before.
pro tip: if you unbolt and unclip the gas filler tube from the rear quarter panel and then pull it down from underneath it makes getting the solenoid filter tube on & off super easy (it clips onto and zip ties to the filler tube inside the quarter panel), after you are done just push the filler tube back up and bolt it and clip it back on.

***and the little plastic tube connectors are push clips, push the clip to release the tube

it looks like you ordered the "standard brand" solenoid I put one on the front and then one on the rear, front failed about 30 days later and the rear failed about 2-3 months later, evap canister seems to be holding up though. just my experience with them

Ok, so I got the American Racing Longtubes installed last week. I had some issues directly afterward, as the spark plugs were not all fully seated, and had to figure out what the noise was and get it addressed. After installing the headers, the spark plugs are really difficult to access, and they feel tight when they are not, since the socket tends to hangup on the outside edges. Needless to say, it’s taken me a bit to get some before/ after videos. I now have the headers (with cats), and an 18” magnaflow muffler (sorry, don’t know model -think it’s: 12259) Really digging the Accel Ceramic wires (9070C). They’re the perfect length, and stay out of the way of the headers.

Here are some clips. Not the best quality, and you really need to play on a system with a subwoofer, so you can hear the lower tones.

To access the plugs with headers, it’s pretty much necessary to pull the front wheels and fender liners and go in from underneath. If you use a standard 5/8” plug socket it should clear fine.
