You tighten it once it's on level ground off the jack?

Yes, it's not done with a torque wrench (according to the Moog instructions). Weight has to be put on it (curb height) and it gets tightened until you can't turn the spacer with a bare hand, then two full turns. That leaves a few threads sticking up above the nut. I don't know about other brands but I cringe when I see an inch or so of threads poking up from the nut. Haynes has a torque spec for them but that's for OE links. I'm sure it depends on the mfr.

View attachment 264174 Put the Escalade appliqués back on after peeling the dip and painting them black. Not quite as shiny as I thought(I’m definitely not a painter). But I think I like the look where they match the color of the window trim.
You need a good clear coat. U-Pol #1 Clear works great. Almost all paint nowadays is 2-part- base and clear.

Took a couple hundred mile road trip today to help my buddy move all the stuff off his property. They just sold it since they moved back to North Dakota. Beautiful land, near Fairplay, Co. Had almost 360° mountain view up there.

I was really pleased to get somewhat decent mileage there and back, especially since we were driving in the mountains. I averaged 12.7 on the way up (E-85 mileage..), and 14.3 on the way back. I’ve been a little concerned since my mileage is so bad in town, but it’s just all the stop and go crap. So with 91, I’d be at 15.7 up and 17.3 back. Pretty respectable for a 210k, tuned Yukon I think. [emoji16][emoji106][emoji631]

Thanks guys! Yeah. Kinda a bummer that he sold the land there. The pics don’t do it justice. Doesn’t make much sense to hold onto it though, being in NoDak now.
It was a good day. Beautiful weather. No wind and temp was 35°, or so, so it was shorts and t-shirt weather while we packed up the truck and trailer, and the kids had fun riding the 4 wheelers. Once the sun started setting, it dropped quickly to 17°. They doubled their $$ on that property in 3 years. The buyer is building a home on it (3.5 acres).

Love that area, beautiful scenery, especially on Hwy 9 north of Fairplay. Or over Boreas Pass to Breck.

It really is. As soon as you get over Kenosha pass, it’s a new world. And that property was just unbelievable. I wish I had better pictures. Site wouldn’t even let me upload the full resolution version.
