techm it has all the solenoids and crap in it, not like the 4l60's where they are right there under the pan, this is a whole module
The 4l60’s have a TCM, transmission control module, built into the Engine Control Module, under the hood. It’s not even a separate controller, and when we get a tune it’s just one file- ECM/TCM file all in one. I knew the 6L80’s had a separate controller but didn’t know it’s actually a Transmission Electro- Hydraulic Control Module that has not just the electronic brain but as GM states : “ TEHCM combines the function of a TCM with valve body solenoids, integrated electronic and hydraulic components, pressure and temperature switches, filter plate and an upgraded lead frame - all in a single unit.”

He could also try pulling the lower part of the seat out and tucking that moving blanket in and around the seat as a temp fix. The Carhartt cover material should be thick enough to protect against his nails. Worst case scenario--rear lower seats are cheap in the junkyards.

I tried moving blanket, but it lasts for 1 hour on long trips. Once he starts moving back & forth, it comes off. I was thinking to attach it permanently, but it gets so nasty, dirty and stinky eventually and has to come off for cleaning.

I might look in to these Carhartt covers. For now, the lower portions of the seats already destroyed, and actually, nobody but the dog rides there, so it is a problem for the future.

Did a oil change today and switched to wix filters vs ac delco pf46E’s. Pretty sure I had 2 fail after 2500 miles with the lower oil pressure problem that there is a TSB out for. Always ran valvoline synthetic blend.
