The 4l60’s have a TCM, transmission control module, built into the Engine Control Module, under the hood. It’s not even a separate controller, and when we get a tune it’s just one file- ECM/TCM file all in one. I knew the 6L80’s had a separate controller but didn’t know it’s actually a Transmission Electro- Hydraulic Control Module that has not just the electronic brain but as GM states : “ TEHCM combines the function of a TCM with valve body solenoids, integrated electronic and hydraulic components, pressure and temperature switches, filter plate and an upgraded lead frame - all in a single unit.”techm it has all the solenoids and crap in it, not like the 4l60's where they are right there under the pan, this is a whole module
nope it actually drops out real easy, at least from the videos I have seenAh ok. Thx Wes. Gotta drop the trans for that?
He could also try pulling the lower part of the seat out and tucking that moving blanket in and around the seat as a temp fix. The Carhartt cover material should be thick enough to protect against his nails. Worst case scenario--rear lower seats are cheap in the junkyards.
