A local junk yard had a 50% off everything sale running this weekend. So, I went there and bought everything $200 for everything tax included. There were a couple of options for the diff, I picked up the one with the smallest backlash

Mine is making strange noises, and the last 2 times I changed the fluid in it there were a lot of metal pieces stuck to the magnet. I will install the one from the junk yard, and rebiuld and regear my current to 3.42, so when I finally install my Whipple SC, I will have a gear set up that I want.

Looking for another bit of information. I am looking for a temporary fix on my rusted rocker panels, my plan to get them repaired has to be put off for a year or so due to home repairs that are needed. I am looking for a plastic slip on rocker cover. I found that bushwacker makes them for the silverado but the fitment says negative for the Tahoe. Any help or leads would be helpful, Thanks!

I heard nobody makes them for the Tahoes, just the metal ones that need to be welded in. Maybe others have a different answer though.

That seems to be the case, I've scoured the internet looking for something/anything...no luck. Guess I'll stick with the rusty panels until I can fix it correctly.
