For what it is worth, I agree with your preference as well. Hopefully you can sell the take-offs for a little cash.
Grille and lights were an even trade between us. I had just sold the old 16 Silverado rims and tires, along with my stainless bull bar for $80.

While some cash for the grille and lights might have been nice, I would have had to buy a grille and light set first and hold mine until it sold. Just looking to create some good Karma and try this look out in one simple transaction.

This way I was able to test this look out and ride it for a while at no cost to me. I can take my time and replace the headlights with some Depo light assemblies, then the marker lights. Maybe, I'll find a slightly better used grille after that. I've seen them local asking for $50. I might be able to haggle one for less than $40, I'll be happy.

Had to replace front turn signal bulbs. White bulbs were in previous euro headlamps. Switched back to amber.

Also...

Put in some NAPA brand LED bulbs after having one of my DRL burn out. Sockets looked a little scorched from years of incandescent bulbs blowing, so I felt a little more comfortable with the idea of replacing with low-draw (2 Watts) LED bulbs. They are pretty bright too.

No photos. Seemed like a lot of work (timer photos, getting in, starting, put in drive, get out...) to get a pic for something as boring as DRL. Not a big payoff for that much effort.

How much of a drop are you all using for a receiver? My Tahoe is lifted 3" and the 2" drop I have now makes my boat sit really high in the front. I was thinking of going to a 4" but possibly 6" to keep my boat level while pulling it. I guess I could try it out.

Are you using an OE hitch? My stock '04 needs a couple inches of rise since the OE receiver is under the bumper.
