Did you use primer?
No. All I have ever done on the interior parts on this truck is scrub them with scotchbrite pads and Dawn unless it’s something that I’ve removed the original paint on, like the main dash. On that I used adhesion promoter, I got that from www.automotivetouchup.com. That is until that scuff plate I just bought. I originally only cleaned it with Dawn and the paint peeled right off with my finger so I had to remove it and then I used scotchbrite and the adhesion promoter, then repainted. But the front interior pieces that were originally pewter have all been repainted using the easy method and they’ve held up for many years so far.

All of my rod bearings came out .002 or slightly tighter on the plastigage.
Bought the sac city oil upgrade parts and the extra bolt for the pickup tube wouldn't work, I was thinking about buying a different pickup tube, but I busted out the grinder and a round file instead. I probably could have just ground the billet piece flat, but oh well. Put some blue loctite and hit them with 106 inch pounds, so hopefully it's better than new.

Has anyone repainted or recoated their glovebox door? Mine is starting to peel and I don't know that I want to spend money on a new/old stock replacement.

I have repainted most of the interior in my 02 Denali. I did the dash and all the surrounding trim pieces because although I’m pretty sure the SEM Classic Coat 17163 I use is an exact match, I think years of sun has had an effect on the original pieces. I could see the difference. I’m in process of painting the rest of the interior pieces, starting at the back. Just a heads up, so in case you paint one and the one next to it doesn’t match exactly you’ll know you have to keep going until you come to an angle or break in between so you don’t have one piece right against another. I know there are pics way back in my build thread on when I did the dash, and right now there’s pics of the rear and sides being done. Here’s a link to yesterday’s work.

Mounting a 12k badlands winch on my Yukon XL using a rough country hidden mount for a Sierra since there’s no such thing for my application :/
Going good so far and now have everything done except the hole in the air dam.
Should be complete by tomorrow and thank god it has a wireless remote lol.

What a weekend, did a lot of maintenance that I had been putting off, and some additional that i found when the can of worms got opened.

New GM original pitman and idler arm. Also, trans pan drop and filter replacement. Pan replacement also, but that is because I wanted a drain plug, ended up with a SKP oversized pan and filter. Now I am playing the fluid level game while I wait for my jounce stops to arrive.
