@Sam Harris sharp looking! What type of tails are those? Spyders? IIRC, they're unobtanium now?

BTW -- i have Dark Gray Metallic and didn't have any ghosting on badges. However, I did have some when I removed the stock roof rack to put on the Esky one.
Thank you! She’s doing pretty well, for her age.! And thanks for the info as well.. I’m really leaning towards pulling them off.. the tails are a brand called “VIPMotoZ”.. they still make the same exact tails, but only in bright read, without the smoke. They do have a very similar design with the smoke though. Probably my second favorite, but the LEDs are arranged differently, with the uber trendy C shape, though, not a solid C piece, just arranged in the shape: VIPMOTOZ Smoke Red Lens C-Shape LED Tail Light Housing Lamp Assembly For 2000-2006 Chevy Tahoe Suburban GMC Yukon XL 1500 2500 Lifegate Model Driver & Passenger Side https://a.co/d/6jyoE1K

These are the ones I have, but in bright red: VIPMOTOZ Red Lens Premium LED Tail Light Housing Lamp Assembly For 2000-2006 Chevy Tahoe Suburban GMC Yukon XL 1500 2500 Liftgate Model Driver and Passenger Side Replacement https://a.co/d/a0mI2du

Who can recommend a good product to cut & buff my roof, and probably going to need under these badges as well… :naughty: @adventurenali92 …?
If you were close I'd let you used my griotes garage orbital buffer, Chemical guys pads and the insanely large bulk of Mcguires compounds I have. All new I've had about 2 years now and have yet to use it!!

Dammit Jim! Where are you located? I currently have a Porter Cable orbital buffer.. (don’t recall the model atm) Adams Polishes pads, and a few of their products / waxes etc.. but no actual compounds..

I lowered my 2002 GMC Yukon Denali, I got a lowering kit off eBay , springs , torsion keys and shock extenders(no instructions) Didn’t know what to expect with getting the rear springs out , my dad had said they are compressed and to be careful they can fly out and fk me up . So it took me longer than it should have being way to cautious. Jacked up the rear axle . I unbolted the bottom shock mounts the upper sway bar bolts . Let down the axle and the springs came right out . Jacked the axle up to the new springs for let it down . The only thing is the emergency brake cable is up against the shock . I’m sure there’s a way to extend it or shorten it to go in front of the shock I havnt seen anything yet .the torsion bar keys I found a 3 jaw gear puller and got it to grab ahold and pull the torsion keys up front . I enjoy my suv that gets 9 mpg a lot and plan on keeping it a long time . It’s been sitting in the same place for 2 months now . My grandmother had gotten a diagnosis she was going home really quick . I sat with her everyday for a few weeks and helped her go home with what ever I could do to make it better. I miss her a lot and I would put her in her wheel chair every 5 min to smoke a piece of a cigarette for yeaRs if I could . Well I didn’t drive for almost 2 months .I lost the damn keys for it so it’s been parked . I can get a key cut at the dealership but I keep getting ck blocked with every little thing . I tried looking up how to hot wire but I guess they don’t post how to steal shit . I just need to move over a lil bit til I get the paperwork in the mail .I appreciate the info and the support on this site .y’all have a good one

After this wax, I’m really considering a debadge.. not sure how much fading / ghosting I’ll have though.. considering the miles and age, I’m pretty happy with the way the roof looks, but it needs an actual polish for sure. Recommendations for products to use, the correct pads for my polisher are appreciated!
Looks great! Showroom new! Beauty!!!!

Pulled the Zurich scanner out of the console, just to be sure I could ignore the CEL... Yuuuup! Drive on...

Figured, I might as well check fuel trims... for over 211k... Looks OK to me. Runs fantastic. Like butta!

Also, noticed I am only 221 miles away from a Rain Man moment...

Same, except it's a PC polisher, pads, like 6 different Chemical Guys compounds, clay, and some iron remover all sitting in my closet for the last two years. I don't know why I'm so lazy -- the truck is out in the garage year round.

It took me a solid year to acquire e-fans after I got a harness...then another year to install and get the cajones to program my PCM on my own. Sheesh - two years for one fairly simple mod.
