Appreciate the hint I will check all of my connections and report back.
The airbags codes do not reset with a scan tool or other secret sauce; the fault must be repaired before the code goes away.

Nevermind, I just saw another Z71 without the bumper on and it looks exactly like this... Ahhhh noooo... Are the non Z71 metal bumpers different? Maybe I got the part that fits those instead. I just don't want to start grinding away if it's gonna come up short somehow. What a bummerjust opened up my front end to install the new bumper...my bumper looks unusual based on other pics I've seen. There's like an extra piece sticking out...I think this was welded on afterwards am I right? I gotta cut off the excess to fit the winch plate... I hope I'm not messing it up.
What bumper are you installing?I cut them off... Customer rep at 3 back and forths said I have to cut them off and they all come like this. Funny how it was advertised as bolt-on. Maybe that just means it's not welded on.

Exactly my thoughts...I think they owe you some free goodies to make it right since this is right off the 2000-2006 Tahoe front bumper page. Specifically says no cutting or grinding.

I'd tell em to give you one of those $350 light packages to make it right, can't hurt to try.Exactly my thoughts...
Also mine is NOT a z71 and had to have the ends cut off to get my bumper on (I didn't do the work just saw the aftermath)Exactly my thoughts...
