I used my eagle eyes in the door panel light to brighten up the area around the Yuk

Of course! I'd give you 52%! I'm good like that.
I really like those eagle eyes. Unfortunately I don't have puddle lights, or I'd put them in there.

Neither does my cousin on his fully loaded 06 silverado. he hates that he doesn't have them. they're still power folding, dimming, and heated but no puddle lights, apparently they are the rare of the rare for chevy parts. even more rare than esky parts.
Anyway after searching for a set at a good price I was gonna mess with the ones he has now but never got around to it. hopefully next summer I can tackle it for him. I'll take pictures of the process as always. but basically I was gonna just drill out a hole then splice the wires into the dome lights, which turn on when the door is opened or when the unlock button is hit on the key fob.

I know it doesn't seem very bright but most of them are burnt out. I will also be replacing them with a solid strip rather than gapping them.

This is what I've seen a ton of bmw owners do(back when I worked in the bmw service dept). they buy strips and stick them on the bottom of the door itself and sometimes bring it from the bottom up the side so it shines out. It looks really good. I'm thinking about doing it to the wife's 200. they would be hidden and stay clean and away from the outside elements. just clean the area real well , I've seen a few strips hanging then getting pinched in the door and body. the only pain is running the wire through the door and into the factory boot.
I don't need them as I removed my steps.

Mines are the 9w 18 mm but I'm gonna use the 23 mm fish eye switchbacks for my front turn signals
