Finally got to be a balmy 31* today, so I did my overdue oil change. Blackstone has been telling me to push my OCIs, which I've said I won't, but well......here we are. 5797 miles. They told me to run 6k. I don't like the feeling, or seeing that number. Got a good sample so we'll see what the report says in a while.

Mobil 1 5W30 high milage (149119 on the rig)
Mobil 1 M1-107A filter

Catch can about normal (though not nearly as milkshake like last time it was winter)

Added stainless scrubber for the first time. I put a little piece in between the filters in the baffle, and the rest of the chunk in the can.

There's one filter under here ...

In the can.

Already anxious to see if it catches any more this time around. It can't hurt, I suppose.

Pressure looking good, will report lab results. This will be my third analysis in a row.
You said ‘in the can’.....:)

Sounds pretty awesome! I’ll have to check out your build thread. I’ve been saying hell no to replacing the factory unit on my ‘03, mostly due to cost, with all the cables/ adapters to get steering wheel controls, etc.. but would really like a backup camera. Does this also retain factory chimes?

I installed a small black box to retain the factory chimes. It's not expensive at all. The head unit connects directly to steering wheel controls (I literally cut 2 wires off BCM and connected 1 of them to the ground and another one to the headunit)

Heck yeah it is! LKQ ftw.

Nice! Was it this one?

It's a toss up for me between that one, and these other two....

Glad to hear you're happy with the Joying though... that helps in the decision making process.

Yeah, the first one looks like mine, but it's outdated now. Joying actually recently offered an upgraded core board win Android 8 , more RAM and ROM, so I got and installed that.

Also, I bought directly from their site - that way you can go back to them for support. They are pretty responsive.

Overall, I can recommend Joying as a good product that's definitely worth what it costs.

Got the pitman and idler arms replaced today. Much better steering feel, but needs alignment obviously. Tomorrow though. Didn’t want to wait 2 hours today. Also changed fuel filter. Think I’ll knock off a few 100k services at a time here and there, as I’m hitting 192k now. Did the front diff service a couple weeks ago. Will do rear and tcase next, and tranny drain / filter / fill + vette servo + pin hopefully this weekend if it’s here by then. Then got to get headers, fix the broken bolts on the driver side, and plugs + wires when those are done. Forgot to take pics of the new arms unfortunately, but it’s obligatory to add pics, so y’all can look at old ones, and new fuel filter. [emoji16]

went to look at this one today, https://www.allamericanautogroup.co...t-Camaro-36e4ea720a0e0ae85da9766910851f83.htm

got to test drive it as well. i like it. to bad but all they would come off the price was 495 bucks. being all 4 wheels are curb rashed, and its on DR's and needs brakes. i passed on it. last thing i want is dr's full time, they suck in the cold and the rain. only one place for them, on a track. tire and wheels would run me what 3k easy? no thanks. the search continues..... nice car tho, damn thing does move pretty damn good i must say.

i did call my ins co. looks like full coverage will run me bout 1500 ish more a year.

Smart move. Im surprised they didnt try to offer you a new set of tires for it or something. If they swapped the tires and pad slapped it then it would be reasonable.

after doing more searching, that last one is not such a bad deal. i might offer em 18,000 and see if they bite. used wheels dont cost to much after looking for a set. tires another story. but most 2013's with lower miles are 25k.

if not for the fact it dont rattle or nothing inside or out id keep on walking, but now im getting sucked into it lol
