You can see it’s installed crooked. The front needs to go to the left and the stops need to be adjusted. They didn’t even line it up at all. Horrible.

Yeah, big gap at the rear/ passenger, and looking like about scraping on the front passenger. Sheesh!

Ya, I seenit dat. Maybe gotta adjust the little rubber bumper on the ps front also.
Very much so! I may not know how to do body work but that there even I can tell it’s not right!

You can adjust the hood by opening it up, loosening the bolts in the hinges, move it towards where you think it needs to go, tighten, close hood, check. Repeat until it’s even all around. Then there’s rubber bumpers at the front corners you can adjust up and down so it’s even across the top at the front where it meets the fenders.

You’re welcome Humberto! Be careful each time you lower the hood to make sure it doesn’t hit on the fenders, do it real slow and keep an eye on how it’s lining up. :)

This was actually Monday evening but put the old tahoe to work again. Buddy with the 5 speed 408 denali lost oil pressure around midnight. He called me and thought his battery was dead because its 4 years old and when he pulled off the road he went to start the truck again and it wouldn't turn over. So I showed up with a battery I had laying around and a starter thinking it was one of the 2. Quick battery swap and he fired it up only to hear top end clatter. Shut it right off and called AAA only to have them say that it could be 4 hours before a truck will arrive. Hooked up the Bubba Rope and hauled him home the ole fashion way.

Got it to my garage overfilled the oil by 2 quarts and jacked up the rear to test the oil pump o ring theory. Went from having just 10psi at idle to having a little over 20 and climbing with rpm. Noises mostly went away so we are hoping its savable without total rebuild. However the oil filter had considerable copper in it.

Gonna pull the pan and decide what to do from there. I'm hoping the cam is okay and I can convince him to get something more aggressive so I can have it. Its an odd cam and very small for such an aggressive stroker.
