Swapped out the rear view mirror with another, the comp/temp lcd kept going on and off.

Replaced the rear half of the carpet with one that had no stains, and while I was there wiped down the floor before reinstalling the carpet.

Also swapped out the 2nd row bench seats that had the middle lap over seat belt with a newer year suv that has the middle shoulder belt.

No pics, didn't happen. Lol

weather finally got warm enough to do some oil changes.

did the hoe and my camaro. the hoes filter fought me tooth and nail. seems i need a smaller cap style filter wrench. catch can had about a inch worth in it.

the ss, omg does 8 qts take a while to drain out. i forgot to dump the catch can. but that can be done any time.

both got Mobil 1 full synthetic.

tahoe also got the evap canister purge valve solenoid changed. the old one was pouring dirt out of it. lets hope that kills that cel light now. seeing how much dirt was in it, it should be the fix.

That evap purge valve is actually part of a TSB, the updated part is supposed to be more resistant to dirt clogging it up.

the hose was fighting me, so i moved the clip and pulled it off, as soon as i turned it sideways dirt came pouring out right on my chest. id seen vids before, but nothing like this one. last owner must have lived off a dirt road. new one was a delco, so lets hope its the up dated one.

That’s exactly what the TSB addressed- I remember it saying if you drove on dirt roads the thing would fill with dust and dirt. They changed the design.

Pulled the front calipers off to see what could be causing the rotational rubbing noise. Noticed that the clips were very rusty and probably preventing the brakes from fully releasing pressure from the rotor. Wire-brushed the Hell out of them and gave 'em a good coating of caliper grease. Took it for a test drive and... the noise is still there. New clips coming tomorrow. This better fix it !

You might need to use a flat file on the rust jacking under the clips (on the caliper) if the wire brushing didn't remove it enough to allow the pads to slide easily.

Threw a 19 bench seat into the back of my 03 Tahoe....bolted right in. Even the seat belts hook up.
My dog just can't get comfortable in the captains chairs.
And easier to just throw sh*t back there and not have it end up on the floor.
