What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

So my shift lock solenoid crapped out last night, or perhaps fell off the mounting stud. What's everyone found to be the best fix for this??? See video below for reference. I has to use the long hose picks I just got to snake down the column and wedge it upwards so I could shift it into park and remove the keys last night.

Sure but it's the plastic bushing the dry rots and falls part. Similar to the wiper bushings. I plan to pull it apart and head to the hardware store or local autoparts for the bushing assortment kit and find one that fits. This is assuming mine just fell off the mounting stud.

Never had a problem, mines an 02 so it’s lasted almost 20 years. Doesn’t the bushing come as part of the actuator? Never had a wiper bushing fail either. Maybe I’m lucky.

$38 fix. Easy one. Found the U shaped clip under there. Where does it go???

Looks like the same one that’s on the transmission cable at the end near the trans. You should be able to see where it goes. If you can look at your trans cable you can see how it works and then look for the same thing under the column. IIRC there’s a sleeve (spring loaded?) that slides back, then the clip slides in and then the sleeve goes back over to keep it from falling out.

Decided it was time to investigate slow leak in washer fluid reservoir. Ended up being bad rear washer pump. When I went to pull it in the garage to work on it, I put all the windows down. Passenger rear window went half way down then fell. Back to Napa for window regulator assembly.
