Well, the dream of getting the Tech2 was short-lived!

Need brake calipers instead... I tried my best to "exercise" the pistons, but they are still sticking and overheating! Tech2 will have to wait another month or so...:(

But what does the barbell have to do with the rear main other than it needs to be done at the same time that the trans is out. Which is why I say that’s a suspect condition to honoring the main seal job, it makes zero sense.
I agree. This is a generalist shop with franchises, so I'm not sure the service advisor knew what I was talking about. Just heard "aftermarket" and balked. I've sent them an email with link to SacCity Corvette's YouTube explanation of the part asking if it would still void the RMS job warranty.

I have a feeling they don’t even know what the barbell does. Which I guess might not be all that uncommon since I don’t think the OEM one ever fails so they might never have changed one. But still…

Amazingly, the GM just replied and said he would warranty the job against leaks from the seal, but not from the barbell. Now do I just send it? LOL.

I didn't do anything TO my truck today, but I did do something FOR my truck... just purchased HP Tuners MPVI2+ Standard Package Tuner w/2 credits and a Tech 2 clone scanning tool from chinacardiags.com.

Nothing like being iced in at home/quarantined with the virus and deciding to drop a grand on a nearly 20-year old truck to keep it limping along. :)
