Filled up with E85. It wasn't quite down to the low fuel light but the station wasn't out of my way so I spent some $$. I've been running 91 octane gas for the winter and the pre-fill was 27% ethanol. Now, after the fill, up to 70% ethanol. The E85 "is not a Conoco product."

Then you better polish it all the way back! Or do the relocate and then you’ll buy the billet one.
I think I do want to relocate them, and that ITC Billet stuff is made just a couple hours from here... Lol

I went ahead and put a half-assed polish on this one just in case. Mainly because I'm afraid to hone these cylinders, I need to watch a few videos

Did a little honing last night, they turned out pretty good to my eyes at least, lol.
I went ahead and just did 1 stroke on the lifters, and a d*ngleberry came off the home and was sitting by one of the lifter holes, I need to inspect the oil passages now.

One cylinder does have this discoloration from water sitting in it or something. I can't feel it with my fingernail, so I guess I'm gonna call it good, didn't want to get crazy with the home.
The first picture is without the flash, the second the flash makes it less noticeable.
The rest of them look really good.

Today I picked the old girl up, some new valve solenoids and they say the transmission should last a while longer...they could have got me for a whole new transmission as I told them if it needed it do it but they think this was the route to go. Just was on the fence as last time the solenoids went, the transmission rpms said we go as high as we please, and smoked it’s self after 6,000 miles. $400 for now is better than $2500 I suppose. @ 80,000 miles on rebuild.

I shoulda bought 3 sets of these cam bearings I guess. #1 was not cooperating, had to move the engine to the workbench and come in from the other side. #4 is still a little tight I think. Probably gonna mess with it some more, hope I don't have to buy another set of bearings...

Took some 2400 grit to one of the number 4 bearings I had tried already. It's spinning really smooth now. I was kinda worried about re-using one, but they seem like they go back in the same the second time. I guess it's crank polishing time now.
