Maybe I'll try Auxitos when they really begin to crap out. Quite a few people like that brand and most seem to have good experience with them.
I put Auxito LED headlight bulbs in my wife's Traverse, and my Shitbox Intrepid about 6 months ago. They are bright and look great, but one of the bulbs in the Traverse has already failed. I can't say for sure if it's poor quality bulbs, or if it's because the headlights on a Traverse are also the running lights. ANY time you drive it, the headlights are on. I just installed a new set less than a week ago. I'm going to rewire the headlights to a relay so that both the headlight wire AND the parking lights need to be energized in order for the headlights to actually get power. That way it will stop them from coming on as running lights.

I'm running them in my yukon. Headlights, DRL, reverse, dome lights, and license plate. So far the only issues are with the license plate and side marker lights. They are the small 194 blubs and don't like to be out in the weather. For the Headlights they made a big difference. I can drive at night without the fog lights on. I haven't been flashed by oncoming traffic.

Urgent wheel replacement with junkyard rim and ended up replacing all four tires yesterday...

The Michelins came with the rims and were due for replacement by summer anyway.

I needed 1 wheel that fit to replace one that got damaged. A set identical to mine was on Craigslist nearby for $400, but they just sold the day before. They looked great too! I got one from the junkyard for $100. Not pretty, but fits and is at least same style.

I ended up with Cooper AT3 4S 265/70 R17. $220 each. Nice tire. Great tread, but good road manners on the highway. 3 Peaks rated for severe snow. Pretty quiet for AT tires.

Here is the crappy junkyard rim...:( The other three were well cared for and looked great for their age. Maybe the ***** one will clean up good enough, so it looks good when you squint.

Anyone in MA/CT have this kind (from 2010-ish), in similar condition as my good ones, sitting in a garage, doing nothing for you, let me know. I might look to do something to get this ***** one off in a month or two.

I will just have to live with what I have for a little bit.

If you have stock-like headlight assemblies, did these fit in the space between the back of the bucket and that plastic bracket that is right behind the bulb opening? Easy install without any mods?

I bought Sealight LED headlight bulbs and sent them back because I was struggling to get them inserted and did not have time or patience to get into it or do any mods. I was afraid I might break my new TYC headlight assemblies I just got two months ago.

Finally got the Yukon in the audio shop this week. Got the stinger heigh10 media receiver, 1000w amp, morel ultra mkii components front and rear, finished off with an mb quart discus 8in sub in the stock box. Worth the 3 month wait on the install appointment, install is super duper clean.

I was unfortunately having voltage drops that started right before my appointment, so I spent this morning putting in a new 175amp alternator, tensioner, and idler pulley.

My grounds are pretty corroded though, and I have the wires, but I’m not yet motivated to get my hands that far into the engine bay. Will save for another weekend.

The voltage drops when feathering the throttle in traffic around town are thankfully gone now with the new alternator. Big time anxiety in grid lock city traffic. Glad that is taken care of.

After I put on the new parts I went out for a test drive to Snoqualmie pass for some pancakes with the mrs.

My neighbor just finished making the catch can bracket for me. Mine didn't include anything in the box in the form of a bracket. Mounting it tomorrow and running the new hose to it.

I also started tinkering with the extra HVAC control module I have. The 3/16 screws all were a pain in the rear!! I stripped the heads on all of them!?!? Will run to hardware store to pick up new ones with a bigger hex head. Probably play with the soldering iron tomorrow night and see what results I get with the white LEDs I got from Amazon.
