Galante, our resident Italian mobster buffoon, had this spiel about how his Tahoe had better throttle response after he adjusted his pedals closer to him, so then it became a little joke. It was previously thought that only those trucks with power adjustable pedals could have such a performance mod. But, soon after was discovered that the same effect could be had by adjusting the driver's seat forward in any vehicle.
I thought we were supposed to tape a piece of 2x4 onto the gas pedal or was that a different mod?

rolled the dice and bought a evap canister solenoid and changed that out to see if it makes my cold morning "tighten gas cap" message go away, and ordered 2 interior temp sensors since the rear one keeps giving me a open circuit error.

I keep getting a P0446 vent solenoid dtc. I replaced the vent solenoid so Im thinking it might be the gas cap. I’ll try that next I guess.

ya mine is p0455 but it's not setting a cel, only doing it at the first start up in the morning when it's cold, already did the gas cap so hopefully this works, I went to do a test with the tech2 but it said the coolant temp had to be basically cold and I had already driven it to take the kids to school so nothing else to do today, I had already changed everything but the gas cap over the summer with "standard" from rockauto should have just went with OEM. the oem solenoid seems to fit a little tighter

I did go with oem when I did the vent solenoid and the cap I just ordered was oem too. I get the cel every few months and when I clear it, all is fine until 2-3 months later and it comes back. Everything time I've checked with the Tech 2 it looks ok. I hate intermittent problems.

mine has to be cold weather related, it only does it on the first start and just started doing it over the last 2 weeks when it's finally started getting a little chilly at night, then it goes away until the next morning.

The only 2x4 mod I'm familiar with is duct-taping one behind the gas pedal (preferably under the carpet) to keep your kid from going WOT.

Although, taping one to the top of the pedal would really help out them short, Danny DeVito-type goombahs.

I’m just thinking it would have the same results as the Italian throttle mod without the disadvantage of having the steering wheel too close after moving the seat forward. Kind of a redneck Italian throttle mod if you will.
