It makes noise intermittently with the 5w-40 Rotella T6 but I don’t know the detailed specs beyond that. Not loud like when you think of a lifter tick. But you do hear a tap tap tap noise when its doing it and you’re next to a wall like in a drivethru.Ok, got it. What's the Viscosity Index of the oil you are using? Do you have the ASTM D445 and D4683/D4741 specs?
What were you using previously (if you know) when the lifter was making more noise?
would it turn off if you disconnect the wires ? or CEL?I’ll just turn it off here in two weeks that way the VOLM solenoids never need to function at all. Hopefully delete it ASAP
Not so easy. There is a plug-in module, made by Range, that can be used to disable it using OBDII. Or, a tuner, such as Black Bear Performance, can turn it off.would it turn off if you disconnect the wires ? or CEL?
like the V-8-6-4 days?

I didn't do anything but drive it but I did find some new information I didn't know about, went out and looked at mine and sure enough there is a dimple in the plastic
