ya, that was my suspect cause I just had not had a chance to get the backpressure tested yet, when I was delivering my shipping today the light came on, first check engine light i've had on this thing. went by the muffler shop and they ordered 2 magnaflow's for me $295 each installed, price seems fair I checked prices on them a couple days ago and they were $260-280 something each everywhere, should be all fixed up tomorrow and hopefully my mpg will jump back up to at least 10 or better

In Commifornia, you couldn't get away with deleting the cats from the tune and just hollowing out your stock cats to pass visual?

I don't know what the computer actually checks when it is hooked up the truck, I don't know if they could detect the cat's being tuned out or not, I have never heard of anyone doing it here. I guess I could ask one of the smog tech's around town if they know (off the record of course) these smog shops have a pretty good racket going here but they can loose there license pretty easily. I have heard they can "pass" a car if it has a problem but they get dinged for it by the state and are only allowed a couple of "mistakes" then they loose there smog license.

It's probably easier, and smarter, to just move... lol

Cali used to be great... it's a shame that it has turned into what it has... truly.
Amen! I was born there, and lived there as a kid. Loved it. But now, there’s no way I’d ever move back. The once beautiful state has been ruined for normal folks.
