yeah Cali is also supposed to be 10%. Ethanols cheaper than gasoline though- so they all push it a bit.

In Iowa, the land of corn, it’s a struggle to even find non-ethanol if want to. They have 10% or 15% or E85. If you do find it, your looking at 91 or higher octane.

Yeah it’s hard to find “clear” gas here too, and if you do it’s $4.00 a gallon or more.

On the way down to LA it seemed for me that the gas was 12.2% alcohol. I need to check again now that we’re back in oregon next time I fill up. Found it odd that it didn’t even move by 0.1 of a percent from two different fuel stations.

Seen that too sometimes, maybe the same truck hit both stations or the fuel came from the same wholesaler/depot/whatever.

All the pumps around here have the sticker saying "may contain up to 10% ethanol", but it used to be only the "winter mix" fuel that did, and a slight mpg decrease with it.

This is the first vehicle I've owned (well except for the 2011 which I only had for 2 months) that has an ethanol sensor. I've only had a Bluetooth OBD dongle and app to be able to read the alcohol % since last fall and this is the first time I've checked while just running straight 93 octane fuel, not E85 or a mix.

Finally changed the Solid State Relay (SSR) for the Integrated Trailer Brake Control Module (ITBCM). Kept getting code C-1114-00, after fording deep water, then intermittently and finally continuously. Quick ignition cycle checks out ok.

So for future viewers, on a 2009 Yukon XL and a 2009 Tahoe, it is located in front of the fuel tank, between it and the ABS Pump. The part number as of this writing is 20904439.

I’m very jealous of the NNBSs that havs the factor TBC. Aftermarket cobtrollers always look tacky. I’ve read that you can’t add the factory controller to a vehicle that didn’t ship with it. (I’m convinced that just like deleting Z55- you could in theroy, but would probably have to have a dealer computer and flash the BCM)
