Drove it too fast for liking of the "not-a-cop" that pulled me over. He was going slow in the left lane and two cars and a motorcycle went around him. After a few seconds of clear open road, he wasn't moving so I passed as well. I thought the Explorer looked like a PPV/SSV, but had no license plate nor equipment on the dash and my V1 was only indicating the gas station up ahead just like it always does. So I kept going and accelerated to the flow of traffic, which was faster than the speed limit (normal) but nowhere near as fast as the car and motorcycle that continued to accelerate after passing the Explorer. The Explorer stuck with me so I assumed the driver finally woke up and now wanted to move on. I was just about to clear a semi in the right lane and get over so the Explorer could pass when I saw the blue strobes on it's dash.

Long story short, he couldn't do anything since he didn't have an actual MPH number, no ticket book, and wasn't in proper uniform (was probably not even on duty at the time). He also knew that I know he clearly saw the other vehicles going much faster than I was yet he singled me out long after they were gone. I guess he was bored and just wanted to tell someone to slow down.

""How are you gonna say that I can't do what I did when you did the exact same thing that I did just to catch up to me to say, 'Don't do that'?"

Yeah if something’s unmarked, and got no plates I’d be very hesitant to even pull over. Something about that guy seems odd.

did you ask to see a badge or get a supervisors phone number?, if they cant produce a badge and department phone number tell em to **** off, I had a game warden pull me over one time in here in California they really can't do shit if it's not related to fishing hunting violation etc (they can't write a speeding ticket), but he was a ex highway patrol and basically still had a power problem because I passed him up and kept on going so he got his balls in a tizzy. I am sure rules vary from state to state, like in Oregon basically anyone can write you a ticket or so I have been told.

He was an official of some sort. Older Dick Van Dyke-looking dude. Had slacks and a polo with embroidered badge on it, like what the higher-ranks that don't actually patrol wear. Could've been a detective that wanted to play cop for his own entertainment. I'm not bitter and he wasn't a dick to me nor was I a dick to him. I was straight up with him and as soon as he realized I wasn't a punk ass or junkie, he simply said exactly what he wanted of me- to "keep it at a more reasonable speed". He understood the situation and wasn't trying to make it something it wasn't. I was just a little perturbed at him singling me out. I told him I agree with him and understand and I'll slow it down. We both got back on the highway and ended up cruising at 75- Ten over the speed limit. Honestly, it's probably best he stopped me because I was merely seconds away from mashing it to take advantage of that open road to catch up to that motorcycle.

Nah, wasn't necessary and I didn't wanna escalate anything. I live in a small town and have fought being profiled my whole adult life so I'm not out to prove points. Being cool with as many officials (of any kind) as I can is more in my favor. When my V1 didn't alert me to a rear bogey, I was already mostly convinced I wasn't in trouble. I knew the second he got out of his unit with nothing in hand and no official uniform that this stop would surely be quick and painless, so I politefully and respectfully played along. You never know when you will need one of "them" on your side in the future.

Started the installation of OEM heated seat kit I purchased off of eBay earlier this year ($150). I decided to only do the passenger side as I ordered a new foam bottom for the driver side. This wasn’t that hard at all after watching this YouTube video:

they catch some every year in my town playing "cop" they tell you if you are getting pulled over by a unmarked vehicle to call 911 to verify if it's law enforcement or to only stop when you feel it's safe to do so, more so for the Women of course but if they only have blue lights that's not normal, here it's red & blue or plain Red which is the fire department but there not going stop you anyway.

Ordered the ac delco wireset 748UU from autozone and they can no longer get them from the vendor.

I went ahead and ordered the ac delco 9748UU since i had a 25 dollar reward. Paid around 25 bucks for the set.

What im reading the difference between the 2 is although both are manufactured by ac delco, the 748UU is orginal equipment and the 9748UU is aftermarket made by ac delco.

Maybe he was a fan of this guy?
