Suburban is giving me a clunking nose under the driver's seat/front wheel area.

The steering wheel is straight and the truck drives straight, so thinking it is suspension related.

Only on the left front wheel. It is noticable going around corners, forward or reverse and can be low speed or say under 35 and hitting a specific bump. Not consistent as described when it happens. Random times it will happen, then not happen. The sound happens, then is gone and may not repeat again for a while or until the next drive.

Thoughts on what I should be looking for/what it might be related to?

I have not had a chance to check it out/jack it up, but am planning to have a look underneath on Saturday morning. Thx.

He said the seals are going bad most likely.

I think I might have my neighbor check it out. Being that I see him work on people's cars constantly and watching him build a old mustang from the ground up and his old hot rod, I'm sure he would be able to test the compression. And, I know I can pay him and trust him to put in an engine if I decide to get a new engine.

After having some time to think about it, I definitely will keep it and use it as a learning vehicle.
Definitely get a second opinion, compression test with actual numbers. I would be curious as to what they are. How much do you trust the shop you took it to, because at 50% you have pretty serious trouble with that cylinder- rings or valves. And they said all your cylinders are “ losing compression”? How many miles on it?

Well, I finally got it all back together.... BUT..... It's ticking, which I gather from the forum means it's leaking. I am not surprised. I stripped the first few threads of the driver side forward most hole. And that's not the leak. They simply will not snug up to the block. BUT THEY LOOK GREAT!!! LOL. I'm going to take it to a shop now that I can drive it...
How / who would be able to fix the stripped threads?
Should I take it to an exhaust / muffler shop, or to a engine / repair shop? Would an exhaust shop be able to get them tight, even if they have to remove and reinstall them?

Found out why so many people drive around in Tahoe’s with one DRL out. **** the accountant that designed this headlight setup. Threw my beer in the woods and walked away before I fire bombed my own truck.

Yeah GM didn’t install the 14V bulb. It sucks. Such a PITA to replace the bulbs. Once you do it they’ll last for a very long time.
